Anna Point Marina is now under new management and looking forward to a 2024 filled with firsts.

  “We are thrilled to be able to manage such a cornerstone of Lake Anna and look forward to offering all the amenities visitors and residents have come to expect, plus new ones,” noted Tara Dwyer, Vice President of Portfolio Operations at Blue Harbor Management.

     Dwyer is responsible for overseeing the operations of all properties within the Blue Harbor Management portfolio. With more than 20 years of experience in the marine operations industry, Tara brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position.

    Blue Harbor Management is a subsidiary of Allied Strategic Partners, LLC, a company that owns and manages marinas across the county. Other properties include marinas on Chickamauga Lake, Tennessee, West Point Lake, Georgia, Perry Lake, Kansas and West Point Lake, Alabama. 

   Blue Harbor’s Josalyn Claussen  told Life & Times Anna Point Marina will welcome Lake Anna Outfitters & General Store for 2024. The 1,200 sq. ft. store is just inside the entrance to the marina property, across from Lake Anna Golf Carts and Home Point Lake Anna. This new location for Lake Anna Outfitters will offer everything from apparel to decorative items, a Poppy’s Candy Shop to campfire items, kayak/paddleboard sales and rentals.

  Also new is the plan to build 60 wet slips in a covered dock format. General Manager Brian McKown told Life & Times, “Anna Point will undergo a significant dock expansion project that will elevate the overall experience for its marina members and boaters. This exciting venture underscores our commitment to providing an exceptional destination for recreation and relaxation! The project encompasses a variety of enhancements designed to meet the evolving needs of our valued patrons. The new, covered docks feature in slip power and water with add-on features including deck buildouts, boat lifts and dock storage boxes. We have partnered with one of the industry’s top dock builders, Alumadock, to complete this project to ensure the docks are ready for the 2024 boating season.”

  McKown joined the Anna Point Marina team in the middle of last season bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the marina business. 

  Additional Anna Point Marina amenities include Boatel storage and valet launch, multiple boat ramps, vehicle/boat trailer parking, deep-water wet slips, covered, on-trailer boat storage, boat rentals, a waterfront tackle and convenience store, waterfront pavilion and picnic tables, floating fuel docks, boat sales, boat service and repair, a wakeboard and ski shop, marine parts and accessories, restrooms and showers.
