Annual Lighted Boat Parade Tradition December 2
Each year, at the begining of December Lake Anna is transformed into an amazing celebration of light that draws hundreds to see the beautiful site that is the annual Lake Anna Business Partnership Lighted Boat Parade.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, December 2. The parade route will begin at Tim’s On Lake Anna in the North Anna Branch and culminate at Lake Anna Taphouse, just above the Rt. 208 bridge.
The route will swing by viewing areas at Lake Anna State Park, Anna Point and High Point Marinas.
Last year’s event was an evening to remember with 14 entries, 500+ in attendance, plus the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Bucket Truck, Santa, live music at Lake Anna Taphouse and a lot of happy people cheering the boats.
Lighted Boat Parade coordinator Randy Thomas is expecting a similar turnout with good weather. Each entry will be judged and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.
To enter a boat contact LABP Administrative Assistant Anne Mintz at AnneMintz-lapb@outlook.com for a registration form and more information.
