Southern Revere Cellars invites the Lake Anna community to sign up for a cross country trail run scheduled for Saturday, April 6th. The event, known as the Sip & Stride 5K & 10K, is a benefit for the Fluvanna Louisa Housing Foundation.
The event, hosted by Bishop’s Events (https://bishopsevents.com/event/2024-southern-revere-5k-10k/) is also offered virtually for those who cannot make it on race day.
Runners receive a glass of wine or beer from Southern Revere Cellars, an event shirt and a chip timed event.
The Fluvanna Louisa Housing Foundation is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping residents of both Fluvanna and Louisa Counties with their housing needs.
The group provides services and programs that help income eligible citizens afford and improve their living conditions, stay in their homes longer, and live safely in the community.
The 10K race begins at 3:45 pm. The 5k begins at 4 pm. Registration fee for the 5k is $35 until March 31 ($40). The fee for the 10k is $50, until March 31 ($55). Tee shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before March 27.

(10k is four laps; 5k is two laps). Awards be given to the top three men and women overall during an awards ceremony post-race. There is also an award for the first male and female in these categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+. Runners who place top three overall in their race are not eligible to also win their age groups.
Packet pickup is available at the event. Participants are recommended to arrive one hour before your event start time to check-in. For those that like to wait and see what the weather will be, there will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive approximately one hour before the race to register for the event.
Seven water stations will be located along the 10k course at approximately mile markers 1, 1.55, 2.55, 3.1, 4.1, 4.65, & 5.65. Three water stations will be along the 5k course at approximately mile markers 1, 1.55 & 2.1. Gatorade will be available at some water stations.
Event volunteers should arrive approximately 60 minutes before the first race kicks off. Volunteers will be assigned volunteer tasks on race morning (water station, course marshals, finish line support, etc).
Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions. All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes. In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.
