Summer has arrived and local restaurants are welcoming seasonal visitors with open arms. There’s always much to do, see, eat and drink around Lake Anna! Here is what you can look forward to this summer.
The Lion’s Den 1837 has announced a Summer Music Series that kicks off with Jimmy Hester July 16 at 6 pm. Additionally, The Lion’s Den will also be offering weekly wine tastings that feature a deeper dive into the restaurant’s vast wine list. Staff will guide guests through each course.
Callie Opie’s Orchard has weekly specials including Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Nite on Wednesdays and a special fish or seafood on Thursdays. This popular dining option at the lake also has live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout July as well as cabin rentals.
Tim’s At Lake Anna has #1 and #2 (smaller) hardshell crabs for cracking on the deck over-looking the lake. The Tim’s Combos are also very popular. The Crab N Shrimp Combo features a half dozen #2 crabs, a half pound of peel and eat shrimp and six hushpupies. The Big Daddy Tray add a pound of snowcrab legs!
The Cove at Lake Anna hosts numerous weekly events Monday Night Steak Dinner, Taco Tuesday, and Half Price Burger Wednesday and Thursday Night Karaoke. Upcoming live music performances include the Jerry Wimmer Duo July 19, James Harris July 24, the Reckless Brigade July 25
Lake Anna Taphouse has weekly events like half-priced Pizza Monday, Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. They also host weekly live music performances on the Lake Front Stage.
Coyote Hole has food and fun with their weekly Boards, Bags & Brews on Wednesdays, Trivia Thursdays, and Karaoke Fridays. Coyote Hole has also evolved its Lake Anna tasting room into something new dubbed the Prospect Drafthouse at Coyote Hole offering everything from slushies to IPAs. Max Mohr will play live July 25 at 3:30 pm at Coyote Hole.

Biscuit Batch, owned by Jessica Wilkins a Navy veteran and world traveled chef, also a finalist on Food Networks: Cutthroat Kitchen, is a great breakfast option not far from the lake. Biscuits here are made with specifically sourced Ingredients. Chef Wilkins’ jams and preserves are guided by an international palate, and she fuses unique flavoring techniques from around the world to create the most appetizing flavors and textures.
Century Farm Market is open and serving BLTs and club sandwiches along with weekly special lattes. This shop on Rt. 522 specializes in farm to table products as well as many made in Virginia favs.
