A number of local area retailers have teamed up for the 2025 version of what is called the Love Local Shop Hop. On February 14-15 residents and visitors are invited to visit the Ole Roosting Box, Home Point Lake Anna, Lake Anna Outfitters, Century Farm Market, Mineral Mercantile, Yesterday And Today and Jen’s Crafters where they will be offered a “Shopping Card” to be stamped at all participating stores. Once the card is stamped by all (no purchase required), the customer turns it in at his or her final stop. The Shopping Card is then entered into a raffle to win that store’s $25 gift card.
“Home Point was a participant in the Love Local Shop Hop last year. It was a fantastic experience. We met so many new customers! This year we have two new members, and it’s going to be fabulous!” Home Point Lake Anna owner Tammy Prestipino to Lake Anna Life & Times.
“The Shop Hop was created to increase new business by sharing our costumes with other businesses. It has been a great success making customers aware of all the different stores we have around us. Not to mention all of the fun we have during these events. The Mineral Mercantile will also be raffling a $25 gift card and we are working on some other treats as well. We look forward to seeing you all at the 2025 Love Local Shop Hop,” said Julie Smith of Mineral Mercantile.
“Jen’s Crafters participated in last year’s Shop Hop. It was nice to meet new customers and collaborate with other shop owners. Jen’s Crafters mission is to offer space for local artists and craftspeople to sell their items and the community a one-stop shop to support these artists and craftspeople. This year Jen’s Crafters will be offering a $25 store credit for one winner of the completed shop hop card raffle,” noted Jennifer Sarosi, owner of Jen’s Crafters.
“Lake Anna Outfitters is looking forward to participating in this year’s Love Local Shop Hop. We’ll have tastings of our famous The Southern Spirit drink infusions waiting for you, plus storewide discounts on many items from apparel to eyewear and the chance at that $25 gift card for those turning in their completed Shop Hop cards here ,” noted Chrissie McCotter owner of Lake Anna Outfitters.
The Ole Roosting Box looks for ways to share our story and business with the community while also supporting other local businesses. Ultimately, we strive to provide our customers with a unique shopping experience that is located right down the road. We want to be a place where our customers can go to get a great gift, to browse, or to chat without driving an hour from their home,” shared Laura Brooks of The Ole Roosting Box.
The Love Local Shop Hop will offer 10-5 hours, Friday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) and Saturday, February 15.
