Once a year, around Independence Day, fireworks-loving boaters anchor in sight of Dike 2 (at least 1,000 feet away) and get ready for a fabulous tradition – the annual Lake Anna Civic Association Fireworks Display.

Whether you are on the public or private side of the lake, get in the boat and  get ready for an amazing evening.

Funding for this fireworks display comes 100% from donations designated for the event.

The goal for 2024 is to raise $35,000 and to continue to offer the spectacular display that residents and guests have grown to love.

This year’s 27th annual display is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 9:15 pm. The show is designed to be about 30 minutes long. If it rains, the show could start after the rain stops and it may take up to an hour to begin. If the rain has not stopped by 11 pm, the fireworks will be shot in the rain.

On the morning of the shoot, organziers will review the weather forecast and decide if the show is a go or it needs to be post-poned to the following Saturday. The official word will be posted at www.lakeannavirgina.org.

For your safety and others, use your bow and stern lights when moving and the stern light ONLY when anchored. Outside the NO WAKE viewing zone, please practice boating safety and courtesy toward others.

Personal watercraft are NOT PERMITTED to be operated after dark. Members of state and local law enforcement will be present to ensure a safe viewing area.
