Lake Anna’s lodging options have increased significantly with the recent opening of The Boardwalk Hotel located at The Boardwalk At Lake Anna on the North Anna River branch of the lake, just off Rt. 522.

The cultimation of six months of site prep and intense construction by Reef Capital Partners, Boardwalk Hotel is a 36-key, four story structure with a distinctly lake house look that sits next to Tim’s restaurant.

According to Corey Enloe Director of Hospitality for Reef Hospitality & Consulting, “the Boardwalk Hotel on Lake Anna is a unique hybrid between boutique hotel and vacation rental offering comfortable rooms surrounded by adventures on the lake and local history and culture. We want our guests to enjoy the day on and around the lake and relax in our comfortable rooms and public spaces at night.”

Life & Times asked Enloe about opening day.

“We have been accepting reeservations since September 19. Our first guests stayed with us September 20. Rooms can be booked through www.kasa.com or other distribution channels/partners. There will also be a website built for the property that is in development that will highlight and promote the hotel and other businesses in the area and on the site.”

Enloe also addressed room rates and kinds of rooms available at The Boardwalk Hotel.

“Boardwalk Hotel will have dynamic seasonal pricing with intro rates from $99.  The peak season rate will start from $199 and shoulder season rates starting from $149.”

With so many visitors to the lake looking for accommodations we asked what amenities are planned for the rooms.

“The property will feature a diverse mix of units tailored to different travel styles. Each spacious unit is thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable stay, whether guests are visiting for a short or long-term stay.

“With balconies in all units, guests can enjoy lake and country views. Select units are equipped with kitchenettes and cozy central living spaces,” Enloe explained.

The top floor of the hotel holds two, multi-room suites each with a full kitchen and great room/entertainment area.

There are ground floor ADA rooms and rooms with wet bars and kitchenettes. Guests can choose rooms with king and queen size beds, lakeview or sunset view.

The hotel will offer a modern check-in that features a nearly contactless procedure. After booking a room online a guest will receive confirmation and an entry code to the front door as well as a code to their room.

Hotels bring folks wanting to do activities. Life & Times asked Enloe if Reef plans to partner with local activity businesses.

“We will partner with local tour and activity companies to create opportunities for guests to explore the area.”

The hotel is also positioned for easy lake access and walking distance to dining.

So what can visitors expect to see inside the hotel as far as décor and theme?

“The hotel’s interior design was inspired by the idyllic lake life dream but updated for the modern traveler. Drawing from a contemporary coastal concept, a nuanced and elegant fusion of modern aesthetics and coastal charm, encapsulates the essence of seaside living in the 21st century.

“At its core, contemporary coastal design embraces the natural beauty of its surroundings. The finishes mirror all of the sites to be taken in while visiting Lake Anna – from the driftwood tones to the water blue accents. Using carefully curated pieces to combine soft edges with soothing tones of stormy greys, sandy whites, and ash beiges. While the main experiential backdrop is a myriad of neutral tones and textures that feel as tranquil as the water in the morning, the furniture’s bold lines and contemporary shapes elevate one’s stay from the ordinary to the extraordinary.”

Reef Hospitality Manager Kristy McGhee told Life & Times that the first week of guests at The Boardwalke Hotel went well.

“Our first week was great. The hotel was ready and we were as excited as our guests. We look forward to hosting many more visitors this fall season. We even have folks booking group events with us. We especially look forward to helping our local residents host their relatives over the holidays.”
