It’s official, the Taormina family of Vito’s at Lake Anna has closed on the purchase of Tavern On The Rail, long a local favorite restaurant located in the down lake area on Fredericks Hall Road, Bumpass.
“The new place will be similar to Tavern On The Rail – an elegant atmosphere with a steaks and seafood style menu and be called The Lion’s Den,” Vito’s owner Rosie Taormina told Lake Ann Life.
Taormina also said he hoped to reopen the new restaurant in early February with Wednesday through Sunday 4-9 pm hours of operation.
Vito’s opened on August 2015 and for the past nine has been continuously operated by the Taormina family. They will bring two generations of experience to the Lion’s Den.
Melody Bowers, original owner of Tavern will continue to operate the Back 40 Event Barn located behind Lion’s Den.
