Spring is here and local restaurants are welcoming spring and seasonal visitors with open arms after a harsh winter. There will be much to do, see, eat and drink around Lake Anna!

  Here is what you can look forward to as spring rolls around.

   Callie Opie’s Orchard has weekly specials including Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Nite on Wednesdays and a special fish or seafood on Thursdays. This popular dining option at the lake also has live music on most weekends.

 The Lion’s Den and Chef M. have created a “refined” spring menu for locals and visitors to enjoy. All entres now include salad. New items include Alaskan sablefish filet with lemon and capers beurre blanc, shrimp and grits with pimento cheese and bacon, a saffrom Tagliarini with parmesian, gruyere and peppercorn.

  Tim’s At Lake Anna has everything you are craving featuring Margarita Mondays, Why Not Wednesdays, Shrimp Thursdays, and all weekend long you can get specialty Bloody Marys, Prime Rib Dinner and Seafood. They also have rotating entertainment on the weekends.

  The Cove at Lake Anna hosts numerous weekly events Monday Night Steak Dinner, Taco Tuesday, and Half Price Burger Wednesday and Thursday Night Karaoke.

   Lake Anna Taphouse has weekly events like Pizza Monday, Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. They are also hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 starting at 11 a.m. This is a free event featuring a kids and adult hunt.

  Coyote Hole has food and fun with their weekly Boards, Bags & Brews on Wednesdays, Trivia Thursdays, and Karaoke Fridays. Coyote Hole has also evolved its Lake Anna tasting room into something new dubbed the Prospect Drafthouse at Coyote Hole. See article on facing page.

  Rustic Tavern, Lake Anna’s newest restaurant plans on opening this spring on the site of Hotel Lake Anna on Rt. 208. The eatery is a collaboration between Puneet Aluwahala and Chef Nick Farley. Diners can expect a 36-seat tavern-like restaurant with a bar serving uniquely American cuisine. 

  Vito’s invites you to dine with them on their second floor Lounge or first floor patio. The Lounge offers a beautiful view of the 208 region of the lake.

   Moo Thru Lake Anna is planning on reopening April 18 and residents are counting the days!

  Century Farm Market is open and serving BLTs and club sandwiches along with weekly special lattes. This shop on Rt. 522 specializes in farm to table products as well as many made in Virginia favs.

  Cream & Caffeine is open just about every day with soft serve and delicious locally roasted coffee.
