Lake Anna Brewing Co. Offering Three New Brews
After an early winter of final preparation and brewing, Lake Anna Brewing Company is now offering its first three beers to visitors at Lake Anna Taphouse; a pale American, a vanilla porter and a West Coast IPA.
Brewed on October 11th, 2021 using Pale 2 Row BarleyMalt from Healthsville, Virginia and Carahell Munich Maltsfrom Germany, the Lake Anna Brewing Co. pale American used Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, and Amarillo hops. It features an ABV of 5.9%.
The West Coast IPA was brewed on October 15th, 2021 using 2 Row Barley, FinesMaris Otter, Weyermann – Carahell and White Wheat Malts.
Hops used in the brew include Centennial and Mosaic. The beer has a 7.1% ABV.
The vanilla porter was brewed on October 28th, 2021 using Standard 2 RowBarley, Chocolate, Special Belgian, Crystal 77 & 45, BlackMalts. It was crafted with four pounds of molasses and vanilla. Hops used include Magnum, Goldings, and 80 pounds of fresh Cascade, grown on Taphouse grounds. ABV is 6.9%.
“These brews will initially be avaible to our Mug Club members due to their limited quantities. We hope to make them more available as we continue to ramp up our brewing capacity,” said Lake Anna Brewing Company owner Brian Gilbreth.
Lake Anna Brewing Co. is located at Lake Anna Taphouse in the Lake Anna Island complex on the Louisa side of the Rt. 208 bridge.
