Lake Anna’s version of Oktoberfest has arrived at Lake Anna Taphouse.

While in Europe Oktoberfest may begin at the end of September and last well into October, at Lake Anna there are just a few weekend days to get your Deutsche on.

The old country sounds, tastes and festive atmosphere returns to this lakeside venue September 28 and October 13 starting at 1 pm.

Not only will there be special seasonal Oktoberfest beers available from Lake Anna Brewing, German Dancers (Schuhplattler und Gebirgstrachten Erhaltungsverein Hirschjäger) will be leading demonstrations until 6pm!

On these special days Lake Anna Taphouse will also be offering a German platter that includes beer sausage, German potato salad, a German pretzel and sauerkraut

Over at Coyote Hole Craft Brewing, locals and visitors will find another Oktoberfest celebration on October 3 from 12 pm to 10 pm.

Owner Chris Denkers says there will be  beer specials, brats, pretzels, and all the noms you can handle, plus live music and vendors.

“Whether you’re in lederhosen or jeans, come join the fun. We promise good vibes, great food, and the best excuse to spend the day with a beer in hand,” he told Life & Times.
