In a surprise recognition by the Louisa County Board of Supervisors at the July 2 meeting, the Board congratulated County Administrator Christian Goodwin for receiving the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development’s Leigh B. Middleditch, Jr. Award for Excellence in Economic Development.
Goodwin was one of Lake Anna Life’s 2023-24 LKA Leaders and continues to set the standard for public service.
His work to help secure funding for HAB mitigation at the lake as well as more law enforcement shows his commitment to a valuable economic engine for the county.
The Board extended a formal acknowledgment of the accomplishment, noting “Christian’s tireless contributions to the Partnership and as a selfless individual who has led by example to inspire others.”
The award signifies outstanding leadership and integrity in regional economic development, and it has only been previously bestowed three separate times in 10 years.
Goodwin has served as Louisa County Administrator since 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
