On Lake Time, a podcast hosted by Lonnie Carter and C.C McCotter made its debut last spring. This show is a combination of the lifelong passion for Lake Anna and its rich community that unites Carter and McCotter.

Carter, a local developer, has been coming to Lake Anna since the 1980s and has grown into a pillar of the Lake Anna community through his investment into the lake with a portfolio of businesses and local partnerships, recently branching further into the Lake Anna community through philanthropy and civic engagement.

His love for the local community is complemented perfectly by C.C. McCotter’s dedication to promoting lake life and all that makes it special. McCotter’s family has called Lake Anna home since the mid-1980s and he has poured into this community through multiple businesses and extensive civic engagement, including helping found both the Lake Anna Civic Association and the Lake Anna Business Partnership.

The podcast marks the next stage of evolution for McCotter’s publishing company, Lake Anna Life Publishing. Through that company McCotter successfully led his publications,  Lake Anna Life Magazine and Lake Anna Life & Times, through the transition from print to a hybrid print-digital package.

On Lake Time is born of a partnership with Carter’s production company, Three Crosses Studios, to propel Lake Anna Life Publishing’s mission of showcasing the people and organizations that make Lake Anna a gem of central Virginia into the next generation of media through producing video and audio content to add to the current array of print and digital offerings.

Carter and McCotter have enlisted the help of Toby Craig, Studio Head at Three Crosses Media, to help with producing, editing, and promoting the podcast on social media.

“Three Crosses Media started out with the goal of helping On Lake Time go from concept to reality, but has grown to helping tie the Lake community together even more by helping with initiatives like Lake Dream Realty’s Lot to Dock network and helping local businesses tell their story to become more involved in the community.”, Craig said. “We have several exciting projects in various stages of development for the studio, but we’re excited to return to our roots by rebooting On Lake Time.”

The podcast will feature conversations with the people and organizations that have helped make up Lake Anna’s history, the ones that will help build its future, and help you hear the lesser-known “deep cuts” that define its culture.

The team hopes On Lake Time serves to inform residents on the exciting things going on in our community, encourage them to be more involved in shaping that community growth, and fostering relationships to keep our Lake Anna community thriving for years to come.

On Lake Time returns at the end of August with an episode featuring Joe Walsh, Project Director for the Tributer Resort project by Reef Capital. Follow the show on Facebook or Instagram for updates, clips and behind-the-scenes content. Full episodes will be available on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.
