August and September are two very different months at Lake Anna. While they are both technically summer months, the vibe changes after Labor Day, with a break in the crowds until the early fall.
Restaurants are less crowded after Labor Day and it’s easier to enjoy a meal and drinks with friends outside when temperatures drop.
Until then, though, area establishments are looking forward to a strong close to the traditional tourist season and each has plenty of events, specials and more to encourage your visit.
Here’s what our visitors and locals can expect at restaurants around the lake in the coming weeks and months. See our Calendar of Events for more information.
Karaoke Night at The Cove continues on Thursday evenings. Sunday Brunch will be served though Labor Day weekend. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are brunch staples but you’re missing out if you’ve never tried their Mermaid Juice!
Coyote Hole Ciderworks & Mineral Brewing Company holds their ever-popular Trivia Night every Thursday at 6pm. Bring your own team or join one when you arrive. Enjoy craft ciders and brews along with a full menu and don’t forget to order the donuts! Live music is scheduled just about every weekend and other events such as Comedy Night & Line Dancing are popular among the locals. The Fall Car Show will be held September 1 at noon.
Everleigh Vineyards & Brewing Company, a family-owned boutique winery, located on Route 33 just east of Cuckoo has created a fabulous outdoor music area along side the vineyard. Flights of Everleigh’s own wine, beer and cider are available as well as their frozen wine slushees, a refreshing summer option. On August 24 visitors will enjoy an 80s party at Everleigh featuring the Totally Random band. Lake Anna Taphouse has special deals most days of the week. Monday is half priced pizza day. Tuesday is Taco Tuesday. Wednesday is Wing Day. Thursdays feature a burger special and $5 off Growler fills. Sundays feature bloody Marys and mimosas and don’t forget there’s a fabulous selection of coffees and ice cream creations at Cream & Caffeine. Arrive early, order dinner and dance the night away with live entertainment most weekends..
